Turning Negative Situations or wilderness in our lives to blessings
Text: Jonah 2:8-9, Hebrews 13:15, Ephesians 5:20
Our Lord Jesus Christ did not come only to reveal God to man and reconcile man to God bringing man back into God's family, but also quite distinctly came to teach us how to live in the kingdom, especially how to eliminate the negative situations or circumstances that crops up in our lives.
When Jesus faced some negative situations, He simply gave thanks to God in John 6:11 to release God's anointing for increase and in John 11:41 to release anointing to raise Lazarus from the dead.
The Bible says when we give God glory through thanksgiving and praise(Psalm 50:23), God will prevail against our enemies, destroy and devour at once. God will make waste mountains and hills and dry up their herbs, dry up their pools, make their rivers islands(Isaiah 42:12-15).
God will start will start leading us and make darkness light before us, and maketh crooked paths straight and not forsake us(Isaiah 42:16)
The key to living abundant life in the kingdom is to be joyful and full of rejoicing in our heart.(Proverbs 17:22,Psalm 16:11, Joel 1:12, 1 Peter 1:8). That is the key to manifesting good health, prosperity, God's presence, faith is joy and the grace, mercy and favor of God.(Proverbs 17:22,Psalm 16:11, Joel 1:12, 1 Peter 1:8).
Howbeit the key to rejoicing is gratitude or gratefulness or thankfulness. So Apostle Paul under incarceration in the prison said " I think myself happy". Why? Because he was grateful to suffer for the sake of Christ (Acts 5:12).
Irrespective of the negative situations you find yourself, find something around you are grateful for, and as you do, you harness the power of God (His love and grace) that eliminates the negative situation.
Be positive to everyone you talk to and be happy. Be grateful for everything you have around you-the running water, the electricity etc. and everything will start changing for good. Give thanks for your five senses, for your physical body, soul and spirit for they are fearfully and wonderfully made(Psalm 139:14), for your home, for your family, for your friends, for your job, for your business, for the money in your hand, for your achievements, for everything that is good.
Remember all good things come from God, the father of lights with whom there is no variableness or shadow of turning.(James 1:17)
When you give thanks, the victory Jesus won on the Cross for you will be manifested in your life( 1 Corinthians 15:57).
When you give thanks to the Father, He will cause you to triumph in everything and in every place(2 Corinthians 2:14).
When you give thanks, God's grace or favor will be released to help you. When you give thanks, it shows you love God and that you acknowledge His love (mercy) and goodness (grace and favor) towards you which enables God to manifest the blessings He hath prepared for you.(Psalm 136:1,1 Corinthians 2:9).
The scriptures say "He who sacrifices thank offerings honors me, and he prepares the way so that I may show him the salvation of God.”-Psalm 50:23.
When God comes on the scene, the spirit of fornication, uncleanness, covetousness,
filthiness, foolish talking ,and jesting will have no place in your life, because they loathe worship and thanksgiving to God, Alleluia.(Ephesians 5:1-4)
Gratitude or thanksgiving brings what you want in life. Be thankful for what you want in life as though you have already received it and sooner or later it will manifest in your life.
Gratitude for every good thing in your life eliminates the negative things (lying vanities) and is the best insurance that what you are and what you have will be sustained to continue in future and also multiply.
Our text shows that Jonah turned away from observing the lying vanities or negative circumstances he was facing in the belly of the fish, so as not forsake God's favor or mercy needed to give him the breakthrough he direly needed, but instead gave God thanks and his breakthrough was manifested. Glory to God in the highest.
Our tongue and mouth when used to bring out good things or blessings bring glory to God and becomes a tree of life.(Proverbs 15:3) The power of life and death is in our tongue :life when we use it to give thanks to God and to men and confess the word of His grace; death when we use it to criticize , find faults , condemn God and men, and declare the negative situations happening that we are focusing on.
Change that daunting situation in your life by giving God thanks and praise continually for other good things , God hath accomplished in your life and family continually and professing the Word of his grace which abideth forever.
For we are not to look or focus or meditate on the things which are seen, because they are temporal and passing away, but on the things which are not seen-the word of His grace which are eternal and abideth forever.(2 Corinthians 4:18)
God bless you and Shalom.
Seeking the Lord (2)
Text: Proverbs 8:17,33, Luke 5:16, Psalm 46:10
Jesus always withdrew to a solitary place to seek God, the Father(Luke 5:16).Go to a quiet place.Give thanks, praises and worship to our God.Let your heart be still before the Lord(and not wander about) and focus your whole being on Him.(Psalm 46:10)He knows when we are searching for Him with our heart. He has promised He will respond to us and be gracious and merciful(Jeremiah 29:12-14,Isaiah 30:18,29-31).
God will give us a word from the Bible as we are worshipping Him or speaking the prayer language, and word of wisdom will be given us(1 Corinthians 2:7,14:2). We can also experience the shekinah glory of God(2 Chronicles 5:13-14) or a strong witness in our spirit about issues God wants us to know about and deal with. The Lord can also give us a word of knowledge concerning particular issues of the kingdom of God.
As we minister to God, God sees it as love; captivity is removed, restoration comes and favor and blessings are ministered and added to us by Abba Father and Our Lord Jesus Christ(Jeremiah 29:13-14,Proverbs 8:17,33)
Therefore learn to wake up early and seek the Lord-the heaven's radio frequency period, and enjoy the wonderful life changing experience of seeking God while He may be found. God bless you.
Seeking the Lord Jesus : Your Needs are Added to You.
Text:Matthew 6:33, Proverbs 8:17,33.
Abraham,Isaac, Jacob, Moses, Lord Jesus Christ, Apostles, Disciples of Christ, and men of God who have triumphed in contrary times had one thing in common: Seeking the face of Jesus Christ in prayers, meditation and fellowship. The Lord Jesus Christ came to restore the broken fellowship between God and men(1 Timothy 2:5). He is the mediator of the Old and New covenant(Hebrews 8:6), for God is One God,both of the Jews and also of the Gentiles(Romans 3:29).He connects those who believe in God, all over the world to the Abraham's blessing as the heir of the world.
During their sojourn to the promised land, anytime the Jews cried for help, for food, water, healing or protection, God sent them to Jesus to meet their needs(Jesus was represented as The Rock, The Manna from heaven, the brass serpent on the Pole for healing, The Captain of the Lord's hosts,The Tree that made the bitter water sweet, The Name of the Lord that slay Goliath, The Blood of the Lamb, The Word of God etc).
God, Almighty delights in His Son, Jesus Christ daily(Proverbs 8:30,Matthew 3:17, Collossians 1 :13) and the Lord Jesus delights is in the son of men(Proverbs 8:31). So when we seek Jesus, we are seeking God, Almighty, Alleluia. He is our faithful High Priest, Mediator, Advocate, Intercessor, Surety, The Way, Our Head representing us His Body before the Almighty God at God's Right Hand of Power and Majesty, Alleluia. He is the Body with God , and also God with the Body and in the Body(Immanuel). He is Lord of lords, King of kings. All we need and shall ever need are all in Him and with Him;power, riches, wisdom, strength, glory, honor and blessing(Revelation 5:12)
Communication is the greatest asset in love. The best of God is reserved for His lovers.(1 Corinthians 2:9). Seeking God early in the morning is the secret to the believer's triumph in life. (Psalm 27:8, 63:1, Isaiah 26:9) .
We are not sufficient in ourselves to pray, to think anything or to do anything (2 Corinthians 3:5, Romans 8:26,4:5, Philippians 2:13).Our sufficiency is of God.
As we seek God early we will never lack ,because we will be lightened and shame will end in our lives(Psalm 34:5),durable riches and honor will be given to us(Proverbs 8:17).
The believer should not seek great things but rather seek the great God and the great Savior, Jesus Christ(Matthew 6:33).God is our exceeding great reward and our only and great need.(Genesis 15:2).All we need is found in Jesus Christ, because in Him consist all things(Colossians 1:17, Phillippians 4:19).
Do not focus on achievement, but focus on the Lord Jesus Christ and He will use you to do what He pleases on this earth that belongs to Him.
Instead of laboring and seeking for ways out of any challenge, seek the Lord Jesus Christ because He is the way out every wilderness or challenge. He has the solution and is the solution Provider. He knew right before hand that you will be faced with the challenge, and has made a provision for a way of escape. (Acts 4:27-29, 1 Corinthians 10:13, 2:9-10).
When you seek Him, He will give you rest (Matthew 11:28).Abundant rest means abundant faith you need for triumph in life. They that believe have entered into their rest (Hebrews 4:3), and Jesus is the Source and the Finisher (who perfects and matures-Hebrews 12:2) of our faith as we seek Him.
Faith is our victory over the wickedness in the world and quenches the fiery darts of the devil (1 John 5:4, Ephesians 6:16).
As we seek Him He will give us desires and what to pray for(Psalm 37:4). As long as King Uzziah sought the Lord, He made him to prosper(2 Chronicle 26:5)
The next blog will teach us how to seek the Lord in a practical way. God bless you

Making your faith work(3)-dealing with unbelief.
In Matthew 17;20, Our Lord Jesus taught us to fast and pray to reduce the unbelief in the soul(mind)occasioned by the flesh. In Matthew 9:27-30,Jesus asked the two blind men if they believed in His ability to open their blind eyes, and they answered Yes, and he counted that as their faith.
In Proverbs 19:2, we are told that the Word of God which we meditate and confess will prosper our souls, and reduce unbelief.
In Jeremiah 31:12, when we sing and rejoice together in the Church, our souls shall be as a watered garden and reduce unbelief.
In Philemon 1:6, we are taught that our faith is made to work, once we acknowledge what we already have in Christ through the redemptive work on the Cross, even though we have not seen them, Alleluia.
In Matthew 11:28, we are taught that fellowship with Jesus Christ will bring rest or prosperity to our souls.
In Proverbs 6:32, keeping away from adultery will proper the soul and reduce unbelief.
In 2 Peter 2:7-8, keeping ourselves from filthy conversations and unlawful deeds in the world around us through the print and electronic media will reduce unbelief and strengthen our faith, Alleluia.
In 1 Peter 2:25, surrendering daily to and following after the Shepherd and Bishop of our souls, Our Lord Jesus Christ will prosper our soul and reduce unbelief. He helped the man, who prayed to Him to help his unbelief. He can also do that for you and for me, Alleluia.
In Mark 16: 17 and Luke 10:19, the believer was given authority and dominion over all the enemies. Unbelief is a spirit and can be cast out in the name of Jesus, Alleluia.
Making your faith to work(2)
In the physical realm, you see with your eyes. In the spiritual realm, you see with your faith, seeing the Word of God in pictures in your mind.Isaiah saw the Word of God (Isaiah 2:1).John the Beloved saw the word of God,(1 John 1:1-3).
Joshua saw the Word of God in Joshua 6:2.Your dream or vision of the Word of God in your mind through deep thinking and repetitive speaking or confession releases the gift of faith in your spirit man into your life situation through your ind and then your physical body.
We must deliberately take the Word of grace, keep speaking the Word of God, keep thinking deeply on the Word of God, until we start seeing them as pictures and images in our minds. The clearer they are, the stronger your faith to prevail and access the grace or favor of God(Romans 5:2).
No wonder the devil fights to corrupt the minds of believers( 2 Corinthians 11:3) or blind the minds of unbelievers
(2 Corinthians 4:4).
We have faith in our spirit man, but belief or unbelief in our soul(minds). When there is positive alignment between faith in our spirit man and belief in our minds or soul, then the physical body and external circumstances will experience God's blessing in Christ. However if we have unbelief in the soul(mind)due to carnality, worldliness or legalism and faith in the spirit, there will be misalignment or counterbalancing action, making a shipwreck of your faith which was traveling to your body and circumstances(1 Timothy 1:18-19).
Faith and good or pure conscience work together to produce the blessing, Alleluia(1 Timothy 1:18-19, 3:9).
Making Your faith to work(1)
Faith generates anointing which destroys yokes or any hold on our lives and removes burden from our lives ( Isaiah 10:27, Ephesians 6:16, Hebrews 11:29-34, 1 John 5:4. Faith in what? Faith in the Covenant of grace or favor, The finished work on the Cross, The resurrection power inside us, The blood of Jesus, The Word of God, The Name of Jesus, grace of God, The help of God through the Holy Spirit and angelic ministrations, the presence of God with us, in the Person of god the Father, Our Lord Jesus Christ and The Holy Spirit.
There is a law that governs the working of your faith.
The law governing natural, human faith which we all have is that natural faith believe only what it can see, taste, smell, hear or feel.
You will observe that the object of our faith in God cannot be seen; they are invisible. The law governing God's kind of faith is to believe in things that cannot be seen. You believe you receive your answer when you pray, not when you see things you have desired.Faith is a response to God's ability based on the word of God, which will influence your thoughts, words and actions.
Even though you cannot see angels physically, but God's kind of faith, believes by acknowledging that angels are encamping around you and ministering to you as heirs of salvation(Psalm 34:7, Hebrews 1:14,Revelation 19:10, 22:9)
To build such belief or trust in her heart, the woman with the issue of blood kept saying to herself in her heart(that is scriptural meditation),that she will be made whole if she touched the helm of the garments of our Lord Jesus Christ. She held fast to her confession of faith or her belief until it was registered and written indelibly in her mind or soul, and she received her breakthrough, Alleluia.
Your confidence in God is the Satan's target
In Isaiah 36:4, Rabshakeh, the representative of the King of Assyria, Sennacherib, said to King Hezekiah of Judah
"what confidence is this wherein thou trustest? Lack of confidence in God is evidence of fear and lack of faith, for he that cometh to God must believe that God is, and rewards them that diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6).So Jesus admonished the disciples in Mark 4:40, " why are ye so fearful? How is that ye have no faith? Lack of confidence or presence of fear is evidence of no faith, the instrument to quench the fiery darts of the devil ( Ephesians 6:16).
So what does it mean to have faith or not to have faith? See the next blog!
